And so, as certain as the sunrises in the east, Christmas is once again imminent.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks decorating the tree, drinking Andrew Buller Sparkling white, making shortbread, baking Christmas festive cake, drinking Andrew Buller Sparkling white....oops, said that (hic!).
Guests are enjoying the festive spirit at the B&B and some local sparkling to celebrate their Rutherglen visit.
Your host Kellie and her daughter road tested the new menu at Lake Moodemere Estate Vineyard. With full time chefs now in the kitchen at LMVE it is obviously paying off! The menu is in transition and new offerings chosen on the day did not disappoint. Well done LMVE, we will be back to dine again soon!
When the phone rings (or email pings) and it’s the VIP guests wishing to return I get mega excited! My mind races with new breakfast ideas, which new foodie places to recommend and activities, don’t get me started!
My most regular returning guests are Raia & Neil. Referring to them as guests isn’t quite apt any longer either, they’ve become firm friends as well.
Just prior my Camino in Spain they hiked The Kumano Kodo on the Kii Peninsula in Japan. They were a wonderful help when I was negotiating the mine field that is equipment to walk a 1000km pilgrimage!
Early December they visited and we hit the walking paths of Rutherglen. Weather was perfect, food amazing and the walking, glorious!
