One of my passions is to upcycle wherever possible. A few years back on a visit to Melbourne (fabulous hunting ground) I happened across a vintage beer garden setting...two very sad looking metal chairs and a table with the patina of a bygone age, really bygone!
During the Covid restrictions the guest rate is zero but my energy is 100% This time has given me a chance to work on a few projects around the property, such as my vintage beer garden setting.
New back rests and cushions, another scrub down and a lawn position just begging for G&Ts, and we are go for launch!
Another lovely surprise each Spring is the Peruvian Lily, and the wisteria is just beginning to flush.
The lawn is about to be bindi treated so the guest fur-kids will be able to frolic on the cool grass during summer.
Next? The bay windows which grace the front living rooms (Circa 1889) are having a little makeover with fresh satin paint and plantation shutters due to be installed before Christmas (fingers crossed).
Elsewhere in the garden...watch this space for more Spring-early Summer blooms.
